Spell
for the Riches of the Earth
You will need six tarot cards for this spell: the Ace of
Coins represents the riches of the earth; the Four of Coins symbolises enduring benefits;
the Nine of Coins represents prestige and recognition; the World pertains to material
success; the Wheel of Fortune to the theme of abundance; and the Empress to that of
fertility and the seeds of possibility.
MAGICAL INTENTION
To gain the friendship of the spirits of the earth, so that
they open up the gateway to great riches to live your life in splendour.
YOU WILL NEED
Silver silk altar cloth
Frankincense essential oil
Oil burner
Length of green cord
The six Tarot cards mentioned above.
Pieces of gold and silver jewellery
Paper currency and coins
Parchment or paper
Pen or felt tip with red ink

MAGICAL WORKING
Place the oil burner containing frankincense oil in the north
of the altar and light it. Lay the green cord all the way around the circumference of the
altar, with the ends overlapping. Visualise a circle of golden light spinning around you
and the altar to form a cone of power. Place the Ace of Coins in the north of the altar,
the Four of Coins in the southeast, and the Nine of Coins in the southwest.
Hold both hands over the Ace of Coins and picture a massive
doorway opening up in front of you. Let your skin feel the draft as it widens. Imagine
that you can see an Aladdin's cave of treasures, stacked with ingots, sacks of silver and
gold coins, and crates of precious stones. Picture yourself entering the cave and carrying
some of the riches out with you. Scatter as much jewellery and money across the altar as
you can.
Hold your hands above the Four of Coins and visualise
yourselves enjoying the benefits of those riches. See yourself in your ideal home, with
your perfect partner, and in a wide variety of situation. When you are satisfied, place
both hands over the Nine of Coins and visualise yourself being recognised and appreciated
by people. See the look of admiration and respect on their faces. Imagine the benefits
that you are able to bring about in the lives of others with your new-found riches.
Now, place the three major arcana cards on the altar in the form of a triangle. Lay the
World in the south of the altar, the Wheel of Fortune in the northwest, and the Empress in
the northeast. You will see that you have now constructed a six-pointed star. Imagine
yourself at a future point in your life, looking back upon this moment as the starting
point. Think about the planets associated with these three cards - Saturn, Jupiter and
Venus, respectively - and their spheres of influence. Saturn represents devotion to work
and completion of duties; Jupiter symbolises abundance and hidden opportunity; and Venus
governs the laws of attraction and how success may be attained through exercising charm,
grace, love, and harmony.
Tie the two ends of the green cord together and place it
inside the star shape you have formed. Write a list of the things you would like the
universe to give you on a piece of parchment with red ink. Make them outlandish and
extravagant. Place this list in an envelope, seal it, and keep it safe. Leave the altar as
it is for three days, then dismantle it and untie the cord. Try to wear the cord around
your waist or neck regularly over the next year. In a year's time, open the envelope; you
will be surprised at how many things will have come to pass.
